Who We are
UNESCO BMW, a non-profit organization, founded in November 8, 2014, in the State of MD – USA, is embarking on an ambitious journey from 2024 to 2030, guided by its strategic plan. Officially registered as a member of the UN Civil Society and the US Federation of UNESCO Clubs, promotes the ideals of UNESCO by raising the awareness of youth and the general population to learn about their inner world of harmony and peace and to express that outwardly through ecofriendly choices and the expression of uplifting and inspiring arts and crafts. We have been sharing this vision with a multitude of countries through online and onsite platforms.
To this end, UNESCO BMW has established a number of
MOUs and informal partnerships in the USA and abroad. UNESCO BMW has evolved its focus towards an innovative, collaborative, and empowering approach. The organization is dedicated to harnessing the power of youth for socio – economic progress, emphasizing Mental and Emotional Wellness in education and skills development, strengthening partnerships for broader impact, and advocating for environmental sustainability, gender equality, and inner for global peace. UNESCO BMW’s activities are now more aligned with these contemporary challenges and opportunities, aiming to create a lasting and transformative impact on society

UNESCO BMW’s mission evolves to incorporate a Mental and Emotional Wellness approach, focusing on empowering youth through digital education and soft skill development of health. We are dedicated to fostering a culture of peace and harmony, actively advocating for gender equality and environmental sustainability. Our mission is to harness the potential of young individuals, equipping them with modern tools and inclusive values to become agents of positive change in their communities.

BMW was pioneered with a common goal to make the global community healthier, stronger, and stable through unconventional sources of art and culture around us. We help people help themselves.
Our Programs Plan
Step 1- Contact high schools, colleges and other institutions for Work-based Training and Volunteering. Addressing the problems concerning mental and emotional health through soft skills of meditative reflection.
Step 2- With the active participation of our partners and sponsors, we engage our target audience to fully maximize programming outcomes.
Step 3- Mentors for individual or group sessions to be chosen by attendees

UNESCO Body and Mind Wellness (UNESCO BMW) provides youth and young adults in Frederick County with opportunities for mental stress relief, work-based training, soft skills, community activism, and cultural enrichment. UNESCO BMW supports its projects with contributed funds from our board of directors, memberships, and private donations.

UNESCO BMW is proud to announce we have reached the 2023 Gold Seal of Transparency with Candid (formerly known as GuideStar)! We have achieved this nonprofit rating level of “Seal of Transparency.” The Candid seal is the highest possible rating, indicating that we joined high nonprofit organization’s standards. This exceptional designation sets us apart and demonstrates our trustworthiness to the public.

Survey Results For Community Brand awareness Of UNESCOBMW
In order to understand how we are doing with all our different programs; we performed this survey among 88 regular participants of our programs. 61% were young people age 14-24 and under 30 and 70% live in US/Canada. This survey will help us to plan the future programs better.
