UNESCO Education Day
24 January 2022 is the UNESCO Education Day
Education is a human right, a public good, and a public responsibility.
We celebrate the prominent role of education for peace and development.
Without inclusive and equitable quality education and lifelong opportunities for all, countries will not succeed in achieving gender equality and breaking the cycle of poverty that is leaving millions of children, youth, and adults behind.
Last year, UNESCO Body and Mind Wellness celebrated Education Day with a variety of knowledge and culture to bring global peace and sustainable development. We celebrated with traditional dances of Mehre Sarzamin Institute, an Ayurveda wellness lecture by Doctor Kalpana Ranadive, and a piece of Indian classical music by vocalist Master Sarbari Gangopadhyay.
Our young moderators led the program with dynamism and grace speaking about the importance of education for everyone, especially young people.
