What is art in architecture?
Though the majority of architecture in the world may primarily prioritize function, great architecture melds function with form to create spaces that are not only operational, but also visually pleasing. Art is something that allows people to tell a story or attach emotional meaning; Art and performing arts echo the artist’s creativity and imagination. Good architecture does the same, but also has to meet the requirements of making a building safe. This is a challenge for the architect. https://unescobmw.org/art-craft/
How green architecture is changing the world
Some people have left the brick-and-mortar way of making buildings, benches and houses. Instead, they have figured out that Hemp is a great This is a great way to go when building a new building no matter what building it turns out to be. Hemp is a sturdy plant and when put together it can be used to make anything. In fact, architects are working on building bridges out of hemp which is a great idea because it can hold a lot of weight and like bricks, and cement it never breaks or dies overtime. Hemp is becoming the future of architecture. Building with hemp doesn’t only help the environment but it is healthier for you to live in. That being said if you are renting or live in an older house don’t worry. I mean it’s not new construction so all is good there. Just don’t tear your house down to make a different brick and mortar house. Enjoy the house that is standing. You never know what secrets could be there.
How art inspired architecture
Let’s face it architecture used to be boring and every building looked oddly the same. That was before architects started to add art into their work. Take Michelangelo for example he inspired countless art pieces going beyond just frescos and sculptures. He was the innovator of using art to inspire may buildings although many of them didn’t go into fruition. You can still see some of the architecture that he was commissioned to design. Michelangelo didn’t start working on designing buildings until the end of his life, but with his technical knowledge and an eye for beauty he helped design St. Peters Basilica with the help of some other lesser-known community artists and architects. Then there’s Leonardo Da Vinci He was a scientific man who took a creative approach to solving problems, and as a result he did produce architectural drawings. Drawings of castles, buildings, bridges, and cathedrals. His sketches included intricate details like doors, windows, staircases and walkways. His style of slanted windows really made a difference in modern architecture.
