Position Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Research Intern to design and assist with a study assessing the effectiveness of “Inward Stillness” through, as an adjunctive therapy for stress among students. The study is a double-blind, randomized controlled trial aimed at understanding the potential therapeutic benefits of Mental Silence in managing stress. The intern will work closely with our research team to design the study, collect and analyse data related to this study.

Position Title:

  1. Health Research
    1. Need volunteer experienced in organizing and managing health type projects to organize and oversee studies of participants in wellness.
  2. Survey design
    1. Need volunteer experienced in survey design using a Likert scale to design surveys of different levels of participant experience in wellness.
  3. Data analyst
    1. Need volunteer experienced in databases, data analysis, and data reporting related to users and wellness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Literature review
  • Research design
  • Data Collection:
  • Assist in recruiting and enrolling study participants.
  • Conduct assessments and measurements as per the study protocol, including d quality of life, mood states,
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of participant data.
  • Intervention Implementation:
  • Assist in organizing and coordinating the weekly 1-hour “Inward Stillness” sessions for study participants.
  • Ensure adherence to the study intervention protocols.
  • Data Entry and Management:
  • Enter collected data into electronic databases with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Help organize and maintain the data files and records.

Data Analysis:

  • Assist in data analysis using appropriate statistical software.
  • Collaborate with the research team to interpret findings.

Reporting:

  • Prepare summaries and reports of research findings.
  • Contribute to the development of research publications and presentations.

Ethical Considerations:

  • Ensure compliance with ethical standards and informed consent procedures.
  • Maintain participant confidentiality and data security.

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in a relevant field (e.g., health sciences, clinical psychology, Public health or , biomedical sciences).
  • Strong interest in research and a basic understanding of research methods and data analysis.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to follow research protocols.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Knowledge of statistical software (e.g., SPSS, R) is a plus.

  • The intern may have the opportunity to be listed as a co-author on research publications, depending on their contributions.
