World Humanitarian Day is an international day dedicated to raise awareness and appreciation to humanitarian personnel all around the world and to remember those who have lost their lives working for humanitarian causes. We would like to take this time to recognize those personnel who provide aid where it is needed the most, and those brave souls who continue to provide aid even when faced with opposition, countless difficulties, and the threat of violence.
Purpose of Humanitarian Day Today is important to acknowledge and embody the fundamental principles of humanitarian, when possible, The principles ofHumanity, impartiality, neutrality, independence, voluntary service, unity and universality.
